Welcome to the online home of Genius Loci.  Genius Loci means the atmosphere or pervading spirit of a place and a good tourist guide will give more than a walk around an area.  They will create the atmosphere inherent to the site or area, as well as giving the history and telling stories associated with it.  Genius Loci was established by a registered Blue Badge Tourist Guide and trainer to provide a co-ordinated approach to guided walks around Britain.
